Week 1

Hey everybody, This is Allana (Daisy's secretary). I was the one that got picked to chronicle her adventures here in Honduras, since if it was left up to her this post would probably read: "I'm here. Thanks." Since it has been left up to me...I will begin by telling you how much daisy is LOVING Honduras. She has officially decided that she is starting a business here, and she isn't moving back to United States. She also wanted to issue a warning to her future husband (whoever he may be) that he better REALLY love Honduras, and he needs to do better then two years of Spanish in college (since everybody knows that doesn't count). HAHAHAHAHA ...told ya, Daisy! ;) No, really, we have enjoyed her visit. Daisy's last meal in America left much to be desired. While sitting at her gate waiting for her flight, she realized she was getting hungry. She also realized she was smelling Chinese food, but, thinking she might look for something healthier she started walking down through terminal. Presently she saw a sandwich shop. You know we all think sandwiches are healthier than Chinese food (right??), so of course she stopped in. She saw a turkey sandwich that caught her attention, but, the lady working the shop wouldn't put tomatoes on her sandwich..and she REALLY wanted tomatoes. Then she noticed a tuna salad sandwich (with tomatoes)...and she REALLY wanted tomatoes. And I mean, really, WHO LIKES TUNA SALAD...but she really wanted tomatoes. So she bought the tuna salad sandwich, and a cheesecake, and returned to her gate. And ate her tuna salad sandwich. Then she got on the plane, and found her seat...next to a mom and a little girl. She settled in, for a minute, but then her stomach revolted. It declared WAR. And of course Daisy is sitting there thinking, "Man, this cannot be happening." She got a ginger ale, and tried to fight back, but, the ginger ale was quickly losing the battle. She made her way to the bathroom, and...ya'll know. She returned to her seat to find the little girl that was supposed to be sitting NEXT to her, in her own seat. That left only the middle seat open, and she wasn't about to sit in between the two of them. So she waited... Standing in the aisle... Looking at the lady... And waited... ... Finally the little girl moved back to her seat and Daisy sat down...only to realize she needed to get back up. Needless to say, it was a LOOONG flight! And she blames it all on the tuna sandwich. (Moral of the story: Stick with the chinese food.) Tuna sandwich, notwithstanding, Daisy made safely to Honduras. Since it was already 8:00ish we went back to the hotel, and uh...turned in. *wink* The next day was a full day including: breakfast at the hotel, long bus ride back to La Ceiba, trip to the gorcery store, and then on home. Since then Daisy has settled in to the busy life which is Schreckhise Daily Routine. :D Teaching, cooking, cleaning--Daisy does it all. On Sunday, we were excited to have Daisy with us in Sunday School. Church was awesome...so awesome that she forgot to take pictures. :D That's a good reason not to take pictures, though. Today we had fun on a swimming trip... ...in the rain ...under an overcast sky. Yeah, needless to say, we didn't get in. (We being me, Daisy, and Francis.) The consequences for our staying out were being attacked be mosquitoes, scared by little worms (inside story), and having fun together. I think we would do it again in an instant. I think that is pretty much it so far. Daisy is trying to tell me that I have to do this ONCE A WEEK!!! AHHHHH! We'll see. ~Allana P.S. Pray for Daisy's bands. (Those of you that know) She has lost about 30 so far, she only has ONE pack of 100...and she hasn't even been here a week!!! :D P.P.S. Pictures soon to follow
